The center’s mission is to strengthen the Jew’s connection to his heritage, his land and his people. The center is committed to aliyah, and through the Torah and social programs listed below encourages olim and facilitates absorption.
Torah classes at the center aim to teach, inspire and uplift. A wide range of classes including Tanach, Halacha, Jewish philosophy and more are available for men and women. Committed to quality Jewish education, the center also hosts the Avrom Silver Jerusalem College for Adults, headed by Rabbi Sholom Gold.
Torah Tidbits, the center’s weekly parsha publication spreads Israel Center Torah throughout the country each week. The Torah thoughts contained in the 50-page booklet enlighten, challenge, and stir spiritual introspection as they make their way to shuls throughout Israel on a weekly basis.
Trips and Tiyulim
Tiyulim at the Israel Center include a unique balance of Torah, love for the land of Israel, and leisure. The goal of each trip is to increase knowledge of the land and strengthen love of Eretz Yisrael.
Events and lectures at the Israel Center provide a social venue and generate moral support for English speaking Jews living in Israel. From lectures, to luncheons to book reviews, the center’s events offer olim a chance to connect with other olim, meet old and new friends and enrich their lives as olim.
