Travel Desk Policies
All tiyulim and hotel retreats (hereafter refered to as “tiyulim”) are open to the general public on a first come first served policy.
All tiyulim require advanced registration.
The OU reserves the right to cancel any tiyul based on the number of registered participants.
Program schedules and stops are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Only persons with up-to-date OU Israel memberships are entitled to reduced member rates. Members of the OU in America do not qualify.
Registration and payment policy:
All registrations MUST be made via the Travel Desk. Reservations can be secured by credit card, cash or check.
If you wish to pay cash the day of the tiyul, we require a valid credit card to hold the space; cash the day of the tiyul must then be exact change in an envelope (with your name and telephone written clearly on it). Your credit card serves only as security and will not be charged.
Day tiyulim: Cancellation by registered participants less than 2 full working days* before the tiyul forfeit the cost of the tiyul - unless we can fill that place (no promises!). No-shows the day of the trip without notification will automatically be charged the full price. In both cases, forfeited funds will go as a donation to Israel Center projects.
*Please note-the Travel Desk is closed on Fridays and Shabbat.
Hotels and retreats: NIS 250 non-refundable deposit. After the last date of registration (or other advertised date) deposit + cost of hotel room(s) is non-refundable, unless the room(s) can be re-booked (no promises!).
Kashrut Policy:Food for Israel Center In-House programs is supervised by OU-Israel Mehadrin. Israel Center sponsored trips and programs are Mehadrin. Hotels, restaurants, and tiyulim advertised by outside parties are not necessarily Mehadrin and are not endorsed by the OU or the Israel Center.
Programs and places of the Tiyulim are Subject to Change
We reserve the right to charge a fee for late cancelations
Israel Center tiyulim are partially subsidized by the Jewish Agency for Israel
