Lichyot B’Yachad seeks to restore Jewish unity through dialogue. The program creates opportunities for secular and religious youth in Israel to meet and discover who they are, what they share, and how they can respect each others’ differences.
The Mission
Lichyot B’Yachad aspires to bridge the gaps between the religious and secular communities in Israel through the young generation. Its goal is to spark mutual understanding in a new generation of Israelis whose friendship and respect will cross the religious/secular divide.
Seminars
Lichyot B’Yachad seminars bring religious and secular teens together for discussion, discovery and learning. Over the course of the year, students visit each others’ schools. They have time to meet and learn about each other. As the teens enter each others’ environments, they begin to break stereotypes and discover what each community stands for and values.
A New Generation
Over 400 Israeli teens have participated in Lichyot B’Yachad’s seminars. Many students formed new friendships. With newfound understanding and respect, these students look forward to the future with a new vision for Jewish unity.
