GI Jews” describes the Jewish Americans who served in the US Armed
Forces in World War II. Volunteers and draftees, men and women,officers and enlisted personnel,  from a variety of backgrounds, served as loyal Americans and as Jews.
The lecture follows the experience of the servicemen and women from their neighborhoods into service, training, into combat or the specialized roles for which they trained, their encounter with the Holocaust, and the impact this experience had on their lives.
