Tikvah Juni was born with Down’s Syndrome. She attended a special school at first, and was then mainstreamed into the Yeshiva of Brooklyn,
Tikvah began her career as a Teaching Assistant in the Computer Sciences and Art Departments at Brooklyn’s Shulamith School, and then became a staff member at the HASC Pre-School. Tikvah just made Aliya in August and now lives in Rechavia.
Tikvah is a dynamic advocate for people with special needs, and has lobbied State and Federal legislators and government officials for funding and increased resources. Over the years, Tikvah has succeeded in spreading her message to thousands of people. Renowned as a forceful speaker giving inspiring lectures, presentations, and workshops in synagogues, community centers, and universities.
