All the diverse strands and contrasts in late 19th-century Vienna come together in the innovative symphonies of Gustav Mahler. In this four-session course, Mahler‘s life and music will be highlighted against his contemporaries, the revolutionary painter Klimt and Freud’s discoveries in psychoanalysis.
