The OU is constantly looking out for its constituents. Due to many people approaching us regarding being buried in Eretz Yisrael and the complexity of purchasing plots and arranging burials in Israel, we wanted to help our members make burial in Eretz Yisrael a possibility. We are blessed to share that we created an arrangement with Kehillot Yerushalayim and have reserved a desirable section in the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Yerushalayim exclusively for OU members.
This section has 330 double plots available. The double plots can be single or double occupancy (one above the other). Our service includes all ground costs from the moment the body arrives in Eretz Yisrael, including the Tahara, transportation, Beit Hesped, etc. It does not include transport to Israel or the Matzevah. There is parking near this section of the cemetery and no stairs to get to these plots. Seeing how limited burial plots in Yerushalayim are, we feel extremely blessed that the OU was able to create this arrangement for our members.
