As we transition from the mourning of Yom Hazikaron to the celebration and thanksgiving of Yom Haatzmaut, we’ll take a quick walking tour through the neighborhood of Katamon to the San Simon park at the top of the hill. We’ll hear the dramatic, tragic, and inspiring story of the battle fought there on the last day of Pesach, 1948 – just two weeks before the State of Israel was declared.

We will be meeting at  4:45 pm, across from Misgav Ladach hospital on Rechov Chizkiyahu Hamelech, corner Bilu: https://goo.gl/maps/4u3gr3nW8GMXX5qt6. Walking tour will leave promptly at 5.

At the end of the walking tour, we will be picked up by bus and taken to Gan HaPaaamon. We will have a falafel picnic in the park and then join the OU Israel Yom Haatzmaut Tefilla Chagigit with Shlomo Katz (see flyer below).

This event is free of charge but please make sure you register so we can reserve you a spot on the bus and food. Please note that this event if for single women ages 18-30. Thanks!
